Villiers nestles snugly on the banks of the Vaal River,
and its restful country atmosphere reflects a typical Free State
hospitality. Being the first town when entering the Free State from
Gauteng, Villiers has become a popular stop for visitors travelling
to Durban on the N3.
Visit Niki’s Road Stall for the best biltong, dried
fruit and home made bread; and the Tourism Information
Office (in the One Stop complex) for travel information on the region
and South Africa.
During February and March the fields of cosmos flowers
are a feast of colour and enhance the tranquil feeling of the region.
